CCIE Program Updating 350-018 Written Security Exam
A revision to the CCIE Security written exam will go live on June 1, 2004 in all testing locations worldwide. The Security 2.0 written exam (350-018) reflects advances in how enterprise customers create highly secure business-ready networks. The Security 2.0 written exam (350-018) will emphasize more on:
* Standalone IDS (Intrusion Detection System) sensors, which provide highly accurate threat detection and rapid response to security breaches
* Standalone VPN concentrators, which create secure tunnels into the enterprise and improve the security of branch operations and remote employees
* VPN/Security Management Systems (VMS), a powerful web-based system for configuring, deploying and troubleshooting complex secure networks
* AES and EAP wireless protocols, which support secure wireless access to devices across the enterprise
